Kompassion @ Damansara Kim, PJ

Fresh off our first official foodscapade, and with time on our hands, Bravo and I went on our second foodie adventure in the space of a couple of days. After roughly an hour of research, chats on random topics, and a few of sugar biscuits later, we finally decided on Kompassion - a Thai fusion restaurant that serves pork (clearly an important factor in our decision making).

Parking was horrendous, and after a few rounds of circling the short stretch of shophouses, we were lucky to get a parking spot. The place was packed, granted it was a Friday night and again, lucky for us we didn't have to wait for a table. Then, it was time to get down to business.

We opted for the healthier option of brown rice, which I feel is more fragrant than the standard white rice. This went really well with the dishes to follow.

Brown rice.
First up, Paku with sambal belacan. This generous serving of vegetables came topped with pork mince and cleverly camouflaged chilli padi! Delicious!!

Then, came the highlight of the night - Green Curry Barbecue Pork. At first glance, the portion seemed a tad small but boy was it more than enough. Rich and creamy, the spicy and aromatic gravy completely soaked the succulent and sweet barbecue pork. Yummylicious! Give me this and a bucket of rice anytime!

We were pretty full by the end of the mains, but how could anyone say no to dessert? We had the Coconut Gelato with Red Ruby and Jackfruit and Coconut Pandan Gelato with Cendol Corn. The gelato flavours were interestingly delicious.

Top-Bottom: Coconut Gelato with Red Ruby and Jackfruit and Coconut Pandan Gelato with Cendol Corn.
Verdict: Pricing is slightly on the high side but that green curry is just screaming for me to head back.

I'll end with another fun fact. You know those lines on the rear window of your car? Turns out they're not a design feature. Those babies are demisters to clear condensation or frost. Mindblown
