Caught up with an ex-colleague of mine earlier this week, and where better to meet up than none other than in the area of our former workplace. She'd never stepped foot in this restaurant during her tenure there which came as a surprise haha. Whereas I'd been quite a number of times before but it'd been at least a couple of years since my last visit.

Restoran Sate Kajang Hj. Samuri |
Sate Kajang Hj. Samuri is famous for well, as its name suggests,
satay!! I was tasked with picking the venue and suddenly craved for satay, which I hadn't had since my company's annual dinner which was abysmal apart from the satay which was motivation enough to stay apart from the lucky draw but that's a whole other story.
Back to Satay!

Spoilt for choice! |
They have
quite a range of satays here,
from chicken to rabbit. Take your pick! We decided on the traditional chicken and gave fish a try as we'd both never knew this existed. This place is self-service so you order at the counter, pay, and collect your own sauces and nasi impit to go with the satay.

Peanut Sauce, Sambal, and Nasi Impit. |
Then, you sit and wait for the satay, which plated really quickly! The
Chicken Satay was
tender and juicy, while the
Fish Satay was a pleasant surprise to us both with its
freshness and juiciness. It is claimed that the fish is sourced from only the best in Norway. Not sure how true this is, either way it's
good satay with the delicious combination of peanut sauce and sambal.
